How to play

Goal

Move all cards to four suit foundations built from Ace through King.

How do I select and move cards?
Select a card, then its destination. You can also drag cards, or use Tab and Enter. Foundations sit above the seven tableau columns; stock and waste are at the left.
How do foundations work?
The Ace assigned its suit to that foundation. The Two followed because foundations grow upward in the same suit. You may use the last card of a tableau column or the top waste card. Covered cards cannot go to a foundation. This version keeps cards on their foundations once placed. The top waste Ace can start a foundation just like an exposed tableau Ace.
How do I build in the columns?
The red Seven is one rank below the black Eight. Its attached black Six already follows the same alternating-color rule. Moving the covering card exposed the Ace, which turned face up automatically and became available.
What can fill an empty column?
Only a King can start an empty tableau column. A correctly ordered stack headed by a King can move there too.
How do stock and waste work?
Stock reveals one card at a time into the waste. Only the top waste card is playable. Drawing covers the previous waste card until the cards above it are used or recycled. Drawing exposed the Seven in the waste. It could move onto the Eight because their ranks descend and their colors alternate.
Can I go through the stock again?
Recycling turned the waste back into stock without shuffling. You drew its first card and used it legally.
What should I look for next?
The tableau move opened access to an Ace. Exposing useful cards can matter more than making the first available foundation move. You used an alternating tableau move to reveal an Ace, then placed that Ace on a foundation.
What changes with difficulty?
Relaxed and Standard offer Undo, Redo and Hint. Challenge disables them. The card-building rules stay the same. Lesson hints and Restart Step remain available throughout this course.
Will the game finish automatically?
In Relaxed and Standard, normal play can finish automatically when all tableau cards are face up and the engine proves a winning path. Practice always waits for your own move.
How do I win, and is there a score?
There is no separate points score: the table tracks moves, elapsed time and foundation progress. You win with all 52 cards on foundations. If you are stuck, revisit the stock or start a new deal; this version does not declare a Klondike loss automatically. All four foundations now contain Ace through King, so the real game engine recognizes a win.
