How to play
Goal
Meet the level objective before the move budget runs out.
- How do I connect fruit?
- Connect at least three same-kind neighboring fruit in any of eight directions, including diagonals. No jumping or reusing fruit. Drag and release, or click neighbors in order and click the last fruit again. Enter starts or submits, arrows extend, Q/E/Z/C move diagonally and Escape cancels. Backtrack one fruit to shorten a path.
- How do stripes and color bombs work?
- An even chain length of 6–10 creates a horizontal stripe, odd 7–11 a vertical stripe, and 12 or more a color bomb. New specials appear at the last fruit and may fall during refill. Include a stripe in a matching chain to clear its row or column, or a color bomb to clear fruit of that color. Specials struck only by a blast disappear without activating; clears do not chain recursively.
- How do score and stars work?
- Each distinct cleared fruit earns 10 points, including extra fruit cleared by a selected special. Making a new special adds 60. Every level defines star thresholds and a required count; score levels finish at that requirement. Other objectives require their target and at least one star.
- What are the level objectives?
- Levels can ask for score, specific fruit, blocks, cages, ingredients or bombs. Only directly selected fruit count toward requested fruit totals, not extras removed by blasts. A cleared square removes one block layer and adds 100 points. Cage damage equals chain length; breaking one adds 100 points, and caged fruit remain selectable.
- What blocks a path?
- Solid obstacles have one or two hit points. Each orthogonally adjacent clear removes one hit point for 100 points; diagonal contact alone does nothing. Surviving growing obstacles have a 20% chance per accepted turn to spread into an available neighbor, including diagonals. Missing squares and permanent blockers stay unavailable after refill and cannot be selected or jumped over.
- How do ingredients and countdown bombs work?
- Clear fruit below an ingredient so it falls to the lowest available slot and exits. Ingredients cannot join a chain, and replacements can spawn until targets are met. Countdown bombs match like fruit: clear them before their timers expire. Each accepted chain reduces surviving bomb timers by one. Zero loses an unfinished level even with moves left.
- What happens when time or moves run out?
- A valid chain spends one move regardless of length. Invalid or canceled selections spend none. Timed levels spend seconds instead, and normal Pause stops the clock. An unmet objective at zero loses; completing the objective on the last move or while time remains wins immediately. Practice freezes ordinary timers.
- What changes with difficulty?
- Relaxed doubles the base move/time budget, Standard keeps it, and Challenge uses 80%, rounded down. For a base of ten: 20, 10 and 8. Challenge disables normal Hint. Matching and objectives do not change; lesson hints remain available.
- What happens after a clear or win?
- Fruit falls and gaps refill without automatically popping other matches. With no three-fruit chain available the engine mixes the board without spending an extra move. Normal wins add 100 points for up to eight leftover moves or 300 on timed levels; boosted score determines final stars. Wins unlock the next of 100 levels and keep bests by difficulty. There is no Undo. Restart replaces the current board; the map revisits unlocked levels. Practice leaves campaign progress and records unchanged.
